Our Aims

We aim to give you a safe but unforgettable mountain experience! We aim to give value for money, including added value in the form of your guide's knowledge of the topography, geology, and flora and wildlife of the Pyrenees. (Your guide is a fully qualified International Mountain Leader, holds the Mountain Instructor Certificate, and has a Ph.D. in Ecology and B.Sc. in Botany and Zoology.)

While you are with us we also hope to enhance your appreciation for the mountain environment and its delicate ecology, and to promote a sense of responsibility and commitment to protect this magnificent but threatened habitat.

You will go home with the soul and the mind refreshed (though we won't claim that for the body!).

About our treks

Our standard treks follow a common pattern, though we are more than willing to adapt this, for a group booking for example. We could arrange a two-week trek or a mid-week start and finish if you want. We can also arrange easier weeks, weeks with days off or exploring the Cathar castles, weeks based entirely in hotels or top-class gites... Please just give us four weeks’ notice.

Standard trek:

Saturday pm: pickup from local airport, usually Perpignan. Transport to hotel.Preparations for trek including kit and insurance check.

Sunday to Friday: trekking in your chosen area. Depending on the trek there may be an easy or rest day on Wednesday.

Friday: return to hotel base.

Saturday: transport to airport.
