Walking Holiday in High Atlas

The Moroccan Atlas is a range of exceptional beauty and cultural interest but it still little visited, a fact which makes the atlas, to mind, a far more exiting proposition than the European ranges. Add to that the extraordinary hospitality of the local Berber people, the rich texture of North African life and the exotic allure of Marrakech, and you see why a growing number of trekkers are choosing this great range, which the ancient Greeks thought to be the home of Atlas

morocco, the most fascinating country in North Africa

This trip brings you on top of the highest summit in North Africa, the Jebel Toubkal [4167m]. Although this trip doesn't present any major difficulties or technicalities, we rate it “Challenging" as there is an average of 1500m ascent per day.
In Marrakech you will stay in a typical Riad Hotel in the medina, with en-suite room. In the mountains we set up a camp every night, except on Day 6 where we will stay with a Berber family, in their traditional flat-roofed house.
Supporting us; our local English-speaking certified mountain guide, showing you the way, the Muleteers cooking for you some tasty Moroccan food, and their Mules carrying your baggage!
