Ground Up is a small publishing company based in Llanberis in North Wales. In 2007 it published its first title, the well received North Wales Rock, a selected guide to climbing on the Northern Snowdonia, Anglesey, Lleyn Peninsula and Llandudno crags. Ground Up head honcho, Simon Panton has previous form, so to speak. In 2004 he wrote and published North Wales Bouldering, and he continues to run the news site northwalesbouldering.com, as well as being a regular contributor to Climber magazine. He is also a director of the V12 Outdoor shop in Llanberis.
The much anticipated Gogarth North guidebook is due to hit the shops in the first week of December 2008. The book will sell for £18.95 and a 'postage free' mail order deal can be found at www.v12outdoor.com for all pre-orders received before the books arrive. Beyond that, the other main titles in the pipeline for 2009 are North Wales Slate, Gogarth South and a mini guide to the A55 crags, such as Penmaen Head, Llandulas Cave, The Gallery etc.
