Alpine Guides (Aoraki) Ltd
Established in 1966 (originally "Alpine Instruction Ltd"), AGL is now New Zealand's longest established mountain and ski guiding company.
Year round adventure
Our year-round operational base is in the incredible Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Through the NZ summer months (Nov - April) we run a busy climbing course program, along with guided ascents of New Zealand's classic peaks - including Mt Aspiring, Mt Cook, and Mt Tasman. Winter operations include Wilderness & Methven Heliskiing, Ski The Tasman, ski touring, ice climbing and avalanche courses.
Philosophy
Since it's inception Alpine Guides has continually set the standards of safety and professionalism for New Zealand mountain and ski guiding. All our guides are professionals qualified through the IFMGA/NZMGA. We've been the mentor for most of NZ's leading mountain guides, and continue to be at the forefront of guides' development and training.
