Aardvark Mountaineering Background

Aardvark Mountaineering have been running training and guiding services in outdoor activities for donkey's years. We are based in the heart of the Cairngorms near Aviemore in Scotland. Some of the finest climbing terrain anywhere is easily accesible from our doorstep.

Our Courses

We run outdoor courses in Hill Walking, Scrambling, Navigation Training, Rock Climbing, Ice Climbing, Alpine Mountaineering and Avalanche Knowledge.

Our Instructor ratios are normally kept at no more than three students to one instructor.

All our instructors are extremely experienced climbers and are also fully qualified Mountain Instructors.

We also run theory based indoor instruction courses in navigation training and avalanche knowledge. These can be combined with outdoor practical tuition.

Our Winter Climbing courses are run from November 30th 2007 until April 30th 2008. Courses are sometimes rescheduled or reorganised dependent upon the mountain conditions.

Our Summer Climbing courses are run from May 10th 2008 until October 30th 2008.

Private Guiding

We also provide private guiding services in all outdoor disciplines. Instructor ratios and prices depend upon the activity details.

Whether you're a beginner, an intermediate or an advanced climber or walker, we can tailor our guiding services to match your needs and ensure you have great days out with our company. You wills also learn new skills and techiques to advance your abilities, improve your safety and enhance your enjoyment of climbing and the hills.
