About Alpine Endeavors

Alpine Endeavors operates year-round for rock climbing, ice climbing, alpine climbing and mountaineering. We also offer specialty courses to help round out your outdoors skills in wilderness medicine and Leave No Trace ethics. We provide experienced guides who are concerned with making your outing as safe and rewarding as possible. We are Accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association. All of our guides are certified by the American Mountain Guides Association; trained in wilderness medicine; and New York State licensed. Our instruction and guided climbing days are for all climbing abilities. Whether you have no experience and never climbed before, or you are a competent lead climber looking to expand on your techniques, we are here to help. We build our day(s) around your experience and aspirations. We believe everybody is unique and learns differently. Therefore, we always try to tailor the day(s) around your needs. We'll ask you what your previous experience is and what you hope to gain from climbing with us and take it from there.

Rock Climbing

We operate throughout the US at various locations and are based at some of the best climbing on the East Coast, the Shawangunk and Adirondack Mountains of New York. Our regular rock season here runs from mid-march thru mid-november, however we do get out on the sunny days in winter as well. Watch the forecast and give us a call for some sunny winter days!. In addition to these areas, we also offer guided trips to the following locations: North Conway and the Mt Washington Valley, NH Seneca Rocks, WV Eldorado Canyon, CO Red Rocks, NV Joshua Tree, CA

Ice Climbing

As the days get shorter and colder and you put the rock shoes away, the ice is growing to give us spectacular and exciting climbing. Many rock climbers not only find it a great way to enjoy the cold, but also a great way to stay in shape! We offer instruction for all climbing abilities and provide all the technical equipment needed. We operate at the following locations for ice climbing: Catskill, NY North Conway and the Mt Washington Valley, NH Smuggler's Notch VT

Alpine Climbing & Mountaineering

Glacier travel and wintertime above tree line is no place for the inexperienced, unequipped, or unprepared. Here we will get you ready for traveling in the glaciated, cold, snowy, windy, but beautiful and rewarding environment. Whether you’re an avid hiker wanting to reach the summits in the winter, or a competent climber looking for a greater adventure, the skills learned here will open the doors to new adventures. Again, we offer instruction for all climbing abilities. We offer Alpine Climbing & Mountaineering skills at the following locations throughout the year: Adirondacks, NY North Conway and the Mt Washington Valley, NH Smuggler's Notch, VT North Cascades National Park, WA Mount Rainier National Park, WA Andes Mountains, Ecuador Carstensz Pyramid, New Guinea
