Change Request Limitations and Conditions

The Yellow Change Request Required content areas for Profile Pages are described in the Profile Page Definition.

They are not directly editable by the Purchaser. They require a Change Request to be made to WorldClimb.

WorldClimb endeavour to ensure that all Profile Page content is as accurate and as representative of the Purchaser as possible. WorldClimb require that any Change Requests submitted are such that the Country, Categories and Title content sections are representative of the content contained on the Purchaser Website. WorldClimb will not accept Change Requests that will result in a misrepresentation of the Purchaser Website or the Purchaser itself. WorldClimb maintain editorial control of this content in order to maintain the usability and quality of the overall WorldClimb website.

  • Yellow 1 - This is the Countries area. This indicates which Country/Countries the Purchaser is based within. This should already be correct prior to the Purchaser purchasing their Profile Page. If the Purchaser wish this to be changed then they must submit a Country Change Request to WorldClimb. The Country Change Request will only be accepted if it can be demonstrated that the Purchaser is based in the Country/Countries concerned. The Purchaser must be able to show that they operate within all Countries that they request being listed under. This should at least include contact addresses and telephone numbers based within the Countries concerned. These should be clearly accessible upon the Purchaser Website. For example, the arranging of holidays to or providing guiding services within a particular Country shall not be deemed sufficient to be listed under that Country. All Country Change Request final decisions will remain in the control of WorldClimb.
  • Yellow 2 - This is the Categories area. This indicates which Categories the Purchaser is listed under. These should already be correct prior to the Purchaser purchasing their Profile Page. If the Purchaser wishes this to be changed then they must submit a Category Change Request to WorldClimb. The Category Change Request will only be accepted if it can be demonstrated that the Purchaser is accurately described by the requested Categories. This should be clearly described upon the Purchaser Website. For example, an Equipment manufacturer wishing to be listed under "Ice Axes", should be able to demonstrate that they do actually manufacture "Ice Axes" and that these are available for purchase. This should also be clear on the Purchaser Website. All Category Change Request final decisions will remain in the control of WorldClimb.
  • The Title of the Purchaser should already be correct prior to the Purchaser purchasing their Profile Page. If the Purchaser wish this to be changed then they must submit a Title Change Request to WorldClimb. The Title Change Request will only be accepted if it can be demonstrated that the Purchaser is accurately described by the requested Title. It should be clear that this is the normal operating Title of the Purchaser concerned. This should be clear upon the Purchaser Website. There are a number of exceptions to this within the WorldClimb Purchaser Title Acceptance Policy. WorldClimb will not accept the naming of a Purchaser with a Title beginning with "The" as a prefix even is this is the normal operating name used by the Purchaser. The reason for this is that it causes usability problems with A-Z indexing within the WorldClimb Website. WorldClimb will also not normally accept the naming of a Purchaser that refers to an individual using any other convention other than First Name followed by Family Name. This is in order to maintain a standard convention within the WorldClimb Website. WorldClimb has adopted the more familiar convention with Family Name preceded by First Name as this is by far the more common convention on the websites that WorldClimb indexes. All Title Change Request final decisions will remain in the control of WorldClimb.
  • The Banner Image is a default WorldClimb image selected according to one of the Categories under which the Purchaser is listed. If the Purchaser wishes this to be changed to the image of another Category under which they are listed then they must submit a Banner Image Change Request to WorldClimb. This is normally a standard procedure and is simply a matter of switching the image. A future functionality feature for Purchaser Profiles will allow the editing of this banner as a premium option. All Banner Image Change Request final decisions will remain in the control of WorldClimb.

All final decisions on all Change Requests remains with WorldClimb.

WorldClimb reserve the right to make an administration charge to any Purchaser making more than 3 sets of Change Requests within any Payment Year.
